The Mayor’s Office in partnership with the URA will host a complimentary, government focused, Small Business Resource Fair.
The purpose of the event is to offer small business owners in-person access to representatives from all relevant departments within city services (zoning, permits, ADA compliance, etc.). Citiparks Aquatics Division is currently looking for lifeguards for the 2014 summer season. If you know someone who is certified or interested in obtaining certification to work for Citiparks, please have them contact the Aquatic Division Office at 412-323-7928.
The lifeguard training course is being held at the Oliver Bath House on the following dates and times:

The fee for the course is $70.00 with the option to set up a payment plan. You MUST be a City of Pittsburgh resident and at least 16 years old by May 30, 2014. The starting pay rate is $8.82/hour.

These positions will involve management and hands-on work on a number of service initiatives designed to impact Pittsburgh’s neighborhoods, ranging from home repair to blight reduction to mentoring and beyond. Applications will be accepted until May 23, 2014, or until positions are filled.
