The purpose of City wide Public Safety meetings is to serve as a networking opportunity for residents, business owners and others to meet each other, public safety personnel, elected officials and city departmental staff as well as for all to learn about successful safety strategies, new safety initiatives and receive information about services to residents. City-wide meetings are held twice a year in April and in October and are open to the public.
The 2014 Spring City-wide Public Safety Meeting
Tuesday, April 22, 2014 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Teamsters Hall, Local 249, 4701 Butler St., Lawrenceville
(There is plenty of parking in the Teamsters Hall parking lot!)
Guest Speaker: Mayor William Peduto
Light Refreshments will be served.
Hosted by Zone 2, 4 and 5 Public Safety Councils

The meeting will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul AME Church, 400 Orchard Place in Beltzhoover. It will include a visual presentation outlining key points about the bill, followed by a question-and-answer session.

If on foot, enter at 3500 Terrace Street (across from the Petersen Events Center) and take the elevators to the 11th floor. Presby’s cafeteria is on the 11th floor if you would like to arrive early and grab a sandwich.
If driving, you may park in Presby’s main garage (enter on either Terrace or Lothrop).
Parking vouchers will be provided, but be sure to take a ticket upon arriving at the garage. Upon leaving, you will present your ticket with the voucher and be home free! Or, back to the office, free!

Spring is upon us and there are many upcoming projects to improve Oakland’s public spaces, green our neighborhood with new trees, and work with volunteers on exciting projects. The Green Team will be meeting this Thursday, February 20 at the Oakland Career Center (294 Semple St) from 6:00 – 7:15 pm. Please join us to discuss:
