Pittsburgh is the most fun city in the northeast, a study from WalletHub concludes.

“Absolutely, Pittsburgh really did represent well, especially for the northeast,” WalletHub analyst Jill Gonzalez told KDKA money editor Jon Delano on Monday.

Gonzalez says Pittsburgh ranks 14 out of 150 cities when it comes to entertainment, recreation, nightlife, and cost.

Las Vegas, Orlando and Miami rank one, two, and three, but Pittsburgh beat out cities like San Francisco, Honolulu, and, of course, Philadelphia.

Pittsburgh ranks high in many categories — like sports teams and public swimming pools — but one area stands out.

“Pittsburgh ranks number one in terms of the access to bars so that’s both the number of bars per capita and the number of bars per square mile,” notes Gonzalez.

Escape to paradise on Friday July 22, 2016 at Soldiers & Sailors. We are rolling back time to the Hawaiian Territories during the summer of 1941, when Friday night meant canteen dances, umbrella drinks, and tropical treats!

Experience the sights, sounds, and sips of Hawaii.

MUST BE AT LEAST 21 TO ENTER!

These events help Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall financially so we can continue our mission preserving a lasting tribute to those men and women who unselfishly gave of themselves in serving their country during American wars.

Organizers of the Pittsburgh Bicentennial Celebration are welcoming all residents of the greater Pittsburgh region to come Downtown for Bicentennial events throughout the day on Saturday, July 9.

The day begins with a 11 a.m. parade on Liberty Avenue, starting at 11th Street and ending at Point State Park, continues with a showcase in Market Square, and ends with a concert and fireworks that evening in the park.

The Bicentennial Parade is organized as a "human timeline," beginning with the first indigenous residents of the region, and proceeding through the City's history of immigration from Europe and newly arriving immigrants, from Latin America, Africa and Asia. The Bicentennial year forms a bridge from Pittsburgh’s first 200 years to the future.
